Inspirations? Is there anyone or anything that inspired you to take the path that you are on today?
I take inspiration from Gary Vaynerchuk and Eric "The Hip Hop Preacher" Thomas. I often listen to their material to help keep my head on straight for this business. This industry is NOT easy and rejection can easily knock you down a peg and take the wind out of your sails. But as Eric would say, you have to know WHY you do it. That is what will get you up in the morning. I do it for my family, first and foremost, my clients and friends second, and myself last.
Did you come across any hurdles or struggles along the way of your journey?
This field is wrought with hurdles. If someone comes into this industry with the mindset of NOT doing the right thing for their clients, they're going to crash and burn really quick. I've experienced several times where I've been pushed financially while waiting for the next client to somehow fall in my lap. I had to use credit cards to keep myself afloat. It was not easy. The temptation to walk away from the industry is always strong. But I had a clear vision for how I want my life to go and I knew it wouldn't be by working for someone else. As a business owner, I've dedicated myself to building my kingdom brick by brick, stone by stone, client by client.
What makes you different from others in your field?
I don't sell. I educate. I have never been the type of professional to push my products and plans on my clients. I help my clients recognize that there's a need and guide them towards the plan necessary to address that need. Now it may take a client a day, a week, a month or a year to see what I'm trying to do for them, but I let them know that I am there whenever they are ready. In fact, many of my clients have done business with me because I never pushed them to act before they're ready. On top of that, I also tell my clients that they're not only buying my services, they're also buying ME and all my network that comes with me. So if they're looking for a realtor, a mortgage banker or some other professional, I have them covered.
Any final words to our readers?
I work with individuals, families, professionals and other businesses. Low Income, High Income, doesn't matter, I will still help you. I build tax-mitigation/savings maximization strategies using an assortment of financial vehicles and tools, which I'll be glad to show. I have 9 years of experience and I also work with a team of holistic financial professionals to better serve our clientele. In short, I want to help people. Now how can I help YOU?
